James Wood is one of the top bands in the state of Virginia, and a highly regarded band thru-out
    the Mid Atlantic Region of the country.

    In order to be recognized in this way, it takes talented band students, a dedicated band director,
    and a hard working booster organization.

    The James Wood Band Boosters consists of band parents. We assist the band in fund raising
     projects, provide chaperones for competitions and trips, and give support to all band functions.

    The boosters cordially invite all if the band parents to become an active member of  the
    boosters organization and also ask that band parents attend the regular booster meetings on the
    first Monday of every month in the band room. By attending these meetings, you will have a
    better understanding of what is in store for your son or daughter thru-out the year and will give
    you the opportunity to become more involved in his or her band experience.
